John McNown has been doing a lot of work on our 2010 Alpha 1/20 reunion and has signed a contract for a block of rooms at a great rate. In addition he has made initial arrangements for a reunion dinner. He also checked out all the other things such as parking (free) transport from the airport (free) transport to the casinos (free). Transport to the light rail to go downtown (free). Large hospitality room where we are allowed to bring in our own liquor and snacks (free). And they are providing a free wine and cheese reception on the night of our choice. It really does compare very favorably with the Americal only no hassle and it is only us. Since we are the ones who contract, we don’t have to go through the Americal to get something done.

Reserving Your Room
John got the ball rolling, now we just need to reserve our individual rooms. The discounted rate is $79 per night. With taxes and fees it's about $91.50 a night. The rate is guaranteed but the taxes can change.

The reunion is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 16th thru Sunday, Sept. 19th and the rate is good from three days before to three days after the reunion. . The Crowne Plaza St Louis Airport has our group space in their system and we can start calling to make our room reservations. Here’s all you need to do:

- call (314) 291-6700 and ask for IN HOUSE reservations
- Mention the Alpha Co reunion in September 2010
- Make sure they get the right rates... $79 per night plus tax and fees.
- Give the dates you will be there
- Book em Danno!
- Then be sure to write down your confirmation number

Today (Sep 21st, 2009), I made my reservation for the reunion using the steps above and it worked fine. The rate was just as expected and they didn’t ask for any contact information, but gave a confirmation number that you should write down. They only asked for a credit card number to hold the room, no charge was applied at this time.
